Maternity Session | Roses at the Ogden Botanical Gardens

This beautiful mother-to-be is my friend and neighbor, Courtney. I am so excited for her and her husband, Court, to welcome their first baby into their home in two weeks! The light at the Ogden Botanical Gardens was amazing, and I was surprised to find all of the roses were in full bloom. When I haven’t been out of my house for a few weeks, it’s crazy how much you miss! The gardens looked completely different than when I was here with the Griffiths for their family session around Mother’s Day!  It really makes me think about the seasons of life, and how quickly they come and go. One minute nothing can be in bloom, and the next minute, new life blooms everywhere! I am definitely glad that I followed the advice that older mothers gave me when I was a young mom, and that was to remember to be present during my kids’ early years so I didn’t regret anything or miss them growing up. Every time I remember to just stop and smell the roses, so to speak, I am definitely happier and more fulfilled. I am so excited for Court and Courtney to welcome their little girl and begin their journey as parents!

KY & HANNAH

Ky & Hannah, our son and daughter-in-law. I remember when they were first dating, they jokingly said their “couple name” was Kyannah. Would they, will they, name a little girl this name? I guess we won’t know for awhile, since they are having a boy, and his name is … Ryker.
